About Me
Hello, I'm Bodhi.
I am an educator with a background in biology, maths and philosophy with a passion for helping people understand complex ideas.
My interests span education, science, philosophy, ethics, environmental sustainability, and emerging technologies. I have a particular interest in educational psychology and evidence-based teaching practices, and I enjoy finding ways to make learning meaningful, engaging, and accessible for diverse learners.
I believe education is one of the most powerful tools we have for creating positive change. In a rapidly changing world, I am passionate about helping people develop the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and most importantly, the confidence needed to navigate complex challenges.
I created Flowstate upon the foundational idea that with great confidence comes great flow.
Learning Shouldn’t be a chore, a hurdle to overcome, or some tedious guck dragging us down into the bog of boredom.
Learning should be about curiosity, self-empowerment and sustainability. The key to that is confidence.
I hope to inspire in learners the kind of confidence that enables them to go out into the world and maintain genuine curiosity and eagerness for learning and to give them far more than just a few formulas for finding the area of a triangle, definitions memorised for the sake of an exam, or the musings of 14th century poets.
I aspire to provide for my students the means to control their own learning journey. The power to learn any and all things, and to let the flow of their curiosity and interest take them where it may.
I truly believe that as an educator it should be my goal and purpose to provide the means, knowledge and ability for learners to become their own teacher and develop a healthy and meaningful relationship with learning.
More flow, less sting.
Outside of education, I am an avid writer and philosopher. I enjoy exploring big questions through both science and storytelling, from the nature of consciousness and morality to the future of humanity and our relationship with the natural world.
Above all, I value curiosity, empathy, and lifelong learning.
These principles guide both my professional work and my personal interests, and they continue to shape how I engage with the world around me.
